Come down to the Fulham Wine Rooms on Thursday 5th May for my wine tasting ‘Rioja Old and New’.
Last April, I put on a tasting called ‘Traditional Rioja’ and this event will take that theme forward. Rioja has changed enormously since the 1970s, with at least three new ‘style movements’ and more in the pipeline. I will explain why winemakers are developing these new styles. Wines will be presented in pairs, a traditional wine and the equivalent in a modern style so you can make direct comparisons. The line-up will span white, rosé and reds, with some very rare wines, and finishing with two Gran Reservas. This promises to be a terrific tasting from an ever-popular region so book now!
Start time: 18:30
Cost: £25
Venue: Fulham Wine Rooms, 871-3 Fulham Road, London SW6 5HP
